Distressed Flowers

Hi everyone!  Today I'm sharing another CASE card using the Sending Positive Thoughts stamp set by Stampin Up.  I needed some inspiration getting my creative mojo going again recovering from trigger thumb surgery and thought to start by CASEing some cards.

The card base is white cardstock with a torn strip of Brown cardstock on the left side.  I distressed the edges of the card both inside and outside.  The inside is finished to coordinate with the outside.

Sending Positive Thoughts

Hope you are keeping well and staying safe!  I've been following Julie Gilson's blog and loving her facebook live videos.  I cased her card using the Sending Positive Thoughts stamp set by Stampin Up.  I paired Bravo Burgundy and Old Olive on this card.

The background is white cardstock embossed with the Script embossing folder.  I used distress ink behind the foliage and copic markers to color the butterfly.

Distress Ink Background

For this card I made a marble background using distress inks.  On a white sheet of cardstock I rubbed several colors of distress ink then spritzed it with water so the colors would blend together then set it aside to dry.

Once the background was dry using Memento Tuxedo black ink I stamped the cat from the Friends Furever clear stamp set by Fiskars.  To finish the card I added the Thank You sentiment and some silver sequins.

Blue, White and Silver Stars

I'm so grateful for all the medical staff and all they are doing during this time.  I was one of the lucky ones to have surgery before our state implemented a stay at home order.  After surgery the orthopedic team continued to see me to remove my stitches and ensure I was healing properly.  My occupational therapist continues to work with me to get my thumb back to normal range of motion and strength.

This card creatively expresses my gratitude for all the wonderful people in the world.  They are full of courage and strength and an inspiration to us all.  With heartfelt gratitude, THANK YOU!

Silhouette Cats

I've been playing with craft supplies lately I haven't used in a long time or ever for that matter.  Unfortunately some of the markers and paints and have dried up by now.  This cat was made using distress inks and silhouette stamps.

Using painters tape I made a block in the center of white card stock then rubbed distress inks in that section.  I misted it with water then once the ink was dry stamped the sentiment and cat images in black ink.

Fetch

I was so busy running around yesterday I missed International Scrapbook Day.  I'm making up for it today though playing in my craft room.  I'm hoping to finish a layout I started years ago which is probably the last time I actually scrapbooked something.

In the meantime here is a simple 8 x 8 inch layout from the album I made in memory of our dog Scooter.  This is from back when we were taking photos on film and getting them developed.

Thanks So Much

With this card I was going for lots of texture.  The card base is white cardstock stamped with the Sanded background stamp by Stampin Up.  On top of the card base I layered a piece of coral card stock then a thin strip of light grey card stock.  The cat, mouse and yarn ball are from the Playful Kittens clear stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

I colored in the image using copic markers then fussy cut them out with scissors.  The back drop for the image is white card stock that I embossed with a brick wall embossing folder after inking the embossing folder with light grey ink.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink then taped the images on.  I finished the card by adding white thread and sequins.
