Crazy Cats

Hi everyone!  Today's card was inspired by Di's Designs Challenge to use ribbon, lace and/or twine on my card and Through The Purple Haze Challenge to include a furry friends on my card.

The image is from the Crazy Cats Cling Rubber Stamps by Tim Holtz.

My card base is Kraft cardstock layered with White Cardstock and patterned paper from my stash.  The image was colored using watercolor crayons by Stampin' Up.  To embellish the card I added some twine, banners and pearls.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

Happy Father's Day

Hi everyone!  Hope your summer is off to a great start!

I'm trying something new this summer.  I signed up for a 1/2 share in a CSA.  Each week for 21 weeks I get fresh vegetables and fruit from a local farmer.  This weekend was my second pickup and I'm LOVING all the fresh vegetables so far!

This card was inspired by a couple challenges.  The layout was inspired by this week's sketch 450 by Mojo Monday.

The color scheme was inspired by this week's color challenge PPA303 at Pal's Paper Arts

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! We've been painting the walls in the basement this spring so I've been a displaced paper crafter for over a month now. The exciting part about having moved everything out of my craft room was that before moving back in I was able to imagine my space new again. I took the opportunity to do some spring cleaning, weed out the things I no longer use and arrange everything differently as I moved back into my room.

The best part is that I'm all moved back in and ready to create again. I made this card for my mother-in-laws birthday which is just a couple weeks away. The patterned paper is by MME. I love cards that have the white speckles on them and I tried doing that with my stickles but it didn't quite turn out as I thought it would. So I'm in need of instruction how to and what product to use to add those lovely white spots on my cards.

This card was inspired by the Always Playing With Paper inspirational challenge and Mojo Monday Sketch 448.
