You Light Up My Life

Hi everyone!  Today's card was inspired by the OWH Stars and Stamps theme challenge, You Light Up My Life!  The awesome Sketched Lighthouse is a digital image from KLM Designs.  And the fun layout was inspired by the OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge #18.

My card base is Real Red layered with a slightly smaller piece of PTI White then Chocolate Chip cardstock embossed using the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder.  The shadow layer is three 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 pieces of Close To Cocoa cardstock.  The Sketched Lighthouse was printed on PTI White using my Epson Photo Printer and colored in using copic markers.  I paper pierced the edges then layered it on to a slightly larger piece of Real Red cardstock.

I thought the card needed a bit of yellow to bring out the beam of light at the top of the lighthouse as well as to highlight the theme "You Light Up My Life" so I added two copper photo hangers attaching them with matching copper brads and finished them off by threading shimmery yellow grosgrain ribbon through the hooks and tying each in a beautiful knot.

Hope you have a great day!
