Hummingbird

Hello, my craft friends!  Today is Thursday which means it's time for another challenge with the Digi Doodle Shop's Best!  This week we were challenged to create a card using die cuts or punches.  I'm loving spellbinders dies lately so I used some of those to create my card.  The beautiful Hummingbird is a digital image from the Digi Doodle Shop.  Don't forget there are only a few days left to save UP to 50% off everything storewide.

As for the my card, the base is a half sheet of Summer Sun cardstock folded in half.  Next I cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of PTI White and created the rest of the card on this layer before attaching to the card base.  On the PTI White I layered a slightly smaller piece of Brown Brazzill the a 1 1/2 x 5 strip of Riding Hood Red cardstock.  I wrapped Gingham ribbon around the PTI White and taped the ends down on the back side.

The image was printed on PTI White using my Epson Photo Printer and colored in using copic markers.  I die cut and embossed the image using the Classic Scallop Rectangles Small Nestabilities then attached the image to the card base using mounting tape.  I embellished the card by making a beautiful bow with the Gingham Ribbon and attached it to the card base with glue dots.  I also added two small buttons threaded with DMC White in the lower left corner of the image.

Hope you have a humming good day!

I love this card and the clever way you use the buttons. Buttons are not my speciality, but you do know how to use them !
