Snowman Cheer

I love watching the snow fall and drinking latte's this time of year and think snowmen are magical.  Today's card was created using the really cute Snowman Cheer digital stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps.  My first thought was to paper piece the snowman's vest but my main computer is down and I'm not able to print anything just yet so that will have to wait for another time.

My card base is Bazzill Cardstock layered with PTI White then Baja Breeze.  I finished both sides of a strip of Bunny Hill patterned paper using the Fiskars Deckled Edge Scissors then stitched around the edge of the card base.  The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I layered it on to Baja Breeze then Bazzill Cardstock before attaching to the card base using mounting tape.  To embellish the card I added some sheer ribbon finished with a pearl snowflake and some snow pearls.

Snowman Bells

When I think of winter cards my first response is to grab for all my blue and white papers.  The patterned paper used on today's card is perfectly named, Wind Chill from Chloe's Closet Six Below Zero Collection.  The temperature around here has been in the teens and way below zero with the wind chill.  The image used on today's card is Snowman Bells from Bugaboo Stamps.

My card base is Bazzill Cardstock layered with Baja Breeze embossed using the Cuttlebug Snowflakes Embossing Folder.  The shadow layer is Bazzill Cardstock layered with a slightly smaller piece of Wind Chill patterned paper.  The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I paper pierced around the edges and layered it on to a slightly larger piece of cardstock before attaching to the card base using mounting tape.  To embellish the card I added a beautiful white satin bow and a clear snowflake finished with a button threaded with DMC White.

Rudolf Tree

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!  I actually mailed this holiday card a couple weeks ago but wanted to wait and blog it today to wish you all a very joyous holiday season!  I hope you are able to spend some time with your loved ones this holiday season.  The adorable image I used on today's card is the Rudolf Tree digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.

My card base is Chocolate Chip layered with PTI White then Nestled patterned paper.  I stitched around the edges then added a strip of Real Red finished on both sides using the Scallop Dot Punch.  The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I paper pierced around the edges then layered it on to a slightly larger piece of Chocolate Chip.  To embellish the card I added a Champaine Dew Drop in each corner.

Snowflakes & Snowfriends

This is the card I excitedly made for the Stamps R Us Sparkle and Scallops challenge a few weeks ago and realized when I went to submit it that there were no scallops to be found anywhere on the card.  What a dork I am, LOL!  The fun image is the Snowfriends digital stamp from the Stamping Boutique.

My card base is Soft Sky layered with brown cardstock then Teal Snow Words patterned paper.  The strip is Winter Frost patterned paper on more of the brown cardstock.  Next I added a bit of white lace.  The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I paper pierced around the edges before layering on to a slightly larger piece of brown cardstock.

To embellish the card I added a bow made with white grosgrain ribbon and a couple snowflakes.  The smaller one is a clear snowflake finished with a lovely pearl snowflake.  The other is a large clear snowflake layered with Soft Sky punched out using the Stampin' Up Large Snowflake Punch and was finished off with a larger pearl snowflake.  Wow, that's 5 snowflakes in all... six counting me!!!  Oh, I also added some glitter to the image for snow and to add some sparkle.  And nope, still no scallops to be found, LOL!

You're So Special

Hi everyone!  The layout for today's elegant card was inspired by this week's OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge #48.  I've had the patterned paper for some time now, apparently for a very long time as it doesn't say on the backside who it is by, sorry!  The cute image is a stamp by Stampendous and the sentiment is by Hero Arts.

My card base is Basic Black layered with PTI White then a piece of patterned paper.  I trimmed one edge of a strip of Basic Black using the Eyelet Border Punch and layered Rose Red over it.  The image was stamped on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I layered them on to a slightly larger piece of Basic Black before attaching to the card base with mounting tape.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  To embellish the card I added some silver rhinestones beside the sentiment.

Frosty In Wonderland

I don't often play with glitter but I've recently discovered stickles and am in heaven!  Today's card is very special because the image was created by my very talented friend Alissa.  Frosty In Wonderland is just one of my favorite images from her shop, Starry Night Studios.

My card base is Baja Breeze layered with PTI White then Blizzard Warning Patterned Paper.  I dabbed some Diamond Stickles along the edges then added a strip of Garden Green finished on both sides using the Cornice Edge Punch.  I wrapped white satin ribbon around the strip and taped the ends down on the back side then added the pretty bow in front.

The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I die cut and embossed it using the Classic Circles Small Nestabilities then layered it on to Baja Breeze die cut using the Classic Circles Large Nestabilities.  To embellish the card I made the pretty snowflake which is Baja Breeze punched out using a Snowflake Punch.  I then added a Clear Snowflake over which I added a Clear Gem and finished it off with a Snow Pearl.

Just For You

I thought I'd take a break from holiday and winter cards to refresh my soul with a pretty flower card, LOL!  It is such a long time from fall to spring again.  The beautiful image is the Poppy & Bud digital stamp from the Digi Doodle Shop.  My layout was inpsired by this week's OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge #47.

My card base is Lovely Lilac layered with PTI White then Wild Wasabi Patterned Paper from the Stampin' Up Prints Pack.  The shadow layer is Wild Wasabi cardstock die cut and embossed using the Labels One Nestabilities.  It is hard to tell in this photo but I wrapped White Grosgrain Ribbon around it then added a beautiful bow in front.  

The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  As always, I paper pierced around the edges before layering it on to a slightly larger piece of Lovely Lilac.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on PTI White then cut out to layer on Lovely Lilac.  To embellish the card I added two small Silver Rhinestones along the sentiment.

Rudolf Candy Cane

I saw this cute image some time ago on my friend Jan's blog and immediately had to head over to Bugaboo Stamps and download the entire Rudulf collection.  The image I used on today's card is the Rudolf Candy Cane image.  Isn't Rudolf just adorable, makes me want to kiss his bright red nose and give him a big hug!!!

My card base is Chocolate Chip layered with PTI White then Fairland Street and Forest Street patterned paper.  I stitched around the edges then wrapped some brown satin ribbon along the seam and tied a bow in front.  The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I paper pierced around the edges of the image then layered it on to a slightly larger piece of Chocolate Chip.  To embellish the card I added two large green buttons threaded with DMC White.

A Light Into The World

Hi everyone!  I'm a late bloomer so I'm a little slow getting all my christmas cards ready this year!  I used to make a handmade card for everyone I send cards to but once I got over 40 cards I gave up on that idea and now I just make them for close family and friends.  Everyone else sadly gets a purchased card.  Today's card was created with this amazing A Light Into The World digital stamp from Deedee's Digis.

My card base is Real Red layered with PTI White then Christmas Holly patterned paper. The shadow layer is Merry Merry Christmas on Real Red finished using the Arch Lattice Punch. I stitched around the edges of the patterned paper and couldn't resist dressing up the card a bit with some white lace.

The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers. As usual, I paper pierced around the edges of the image then layered on to a slightly larger piece of Real Red. To embellish the card I added a bow finished with a beautiful white pearl flower. Behind the bow are some figs made from Handsome Hunter and the Oak Leaf Punch. I also added a couple buttons threaded with DMC White.

Christmas Jenny

Hi everyone!  Today's card was created using the Christmas Jenny digital image from Karber Digital Images I won playing along with Karber Weekly.  Isn't she just darling!  I knew as soon as I saw her that I wanted to make a card paper piecing the stocking!

My card base is Chocolate Chip layered with PTI White then Whiting Street patterned paper. The shadow layer is Glee patterned paper layered on Chocolate Chip with red satin ribbon wrapped around it. I sewed a straight stitch along the edges of both patterned paper.

The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers. The stocking was paper pieced using Whiting Street patterned paper. I die cut and embossed the image using Standard Circles Small Nestabilites and layered it on to a slightly larger circle of Real Red then Chocolate Chip die cut using Classic Scallop Circles Nestabilities.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on PTI White and layered on to Chocolate Chip. To embellish the card I added a pretty bow finished with a white button threaded with DMC White and a clear rhinestone in each corner. Christmas Jenny's beautiful hat was finished with white liquid applique.

Presents For You

Hi everyone!  Here is the card I created using the flower I swapped out for the Ho-Ho-Holidays sentiment on my Santa Tree card.  The darling little girl and sentiment are from the Presents For You stamp set by My Favorite Things.  Another favorite from their Pure Innocence collection.

My card base is Bazzill cardstock layered with PTI White then Balsam patterned paper.  The shadow layer is Glee patterned paper with more Bazzill cardstock.  It really is addicting stitching on cards so I couldn't resist doing so on this one too!  The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers.  I paper pierced around the edges of the image before layering on to Bazzill cardstock and attaching to the card base using mounting tape.

The sentiment was punched out using the Modern Label Punch and the white areas of her hat are finished with white liquid applique.  To embellish the card I added some snow pearls as buttons on her coat to match the pearl string adorning the flower, a bow made from grosgrain ribbon and two metallic gold dew drops.

Snowman Hug

Hi everyone!  I did it!!!  I finally unpacked my Janome Sewing Machine and learned how to stitch on my cards, thanks to the fabulous tutorials by Stamp TV!!!  A HUGE thanks to Gina K for the inspiration!  I'm very excited to share my very first card with real stitching.  The Snowman Hug is a digital stamp created by my friend Tami and is available in her new shop, Gingerloft.

My card base is Bazzill cardstock layered with PTI White then Forest patterned paper.  The shadow layer is Bazzill and Whiting Street patterned paper.  I used a straight stitch along the edge of both pieces of patterned paper.  The image was printed on PTI White and colored in using copic markers. 

I paper pierced around the edges of the image then layered it on to Bazzill cardstock.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Denami Design and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on PTI White.  To embellish the card I added some bling along the edge of the image and a button threaded with DMC White.
