New Years Birdie

Hi everyone! Where has the time gone?!? I guess time flies when you are having fun. I know it's not New Years yet but I ended up making a couple cards to send the family this year so am sharing this one today! The bird celebrating on today's card is from the New Years Birdie digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I paired it with Make A Wish patterned paper from BasicGrey's Cupcake Collection.  I also wanted to share that Doodle Pantry is having a 50% off sale now through January 2nd and is the perfect time to grab all your favorite images. 

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Make A Wish patterned paper.  The shadow layer is Kraft layered on True Black Cardstock.  The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers.  To embellish the card I distressed the edges of the patterned paper, kraft and white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and a sponge.  To finish off the card I added a yellow button with a black grosgrain bow and tons of black pearls.
