Home Of The Free

Hi everyone!  As you know, I'm a HUGE supporter of Operation Write Home and today's card was created for this week's OWH Stars & Stamps midweek challenge to make an Anyhero Card.  To make the card I used a digital element for the sentiment and digital paper for the background.

The wood frame and sentiment are digital elements from the Freedom Ain't Free digital kit by Summertime Designs.  I overlayed the sentiment on the wood frame in word before printing then layered it on to Real Red cardstock.  The patterned paper is digital paper from the Freedom digital kit by Summertime Designs.  The large star was punched from Real Red and the smaller star Night Of Navy cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

CREATIVE DESIGN:
  • Stamps: Freedom Ain't Free Kit (Summertime Designs)
  • Paper: Real Red, Night Of Navy, PTI White, Freedom Kit (Summertime Designs), Freedom Ain't Free Kit (Summertime Designs)
  • Ink: Epson Photo Printer R380
  • Other: Large Star Punch, Small Star Punch, Glue Dots and Mounting Tape

Birth Flowers: June Rose

Hi everyone!  Today marks the end of my time with Heart Song Designs Design Team.  I'd like to thank Leah and the rest of the design team for making my time with them so much fun.  I'm really excited to share today's card because it was created using one of my favorite Heart Song Design images.

The beautiful image highlighted on today's card is the June Rose Birth Flower from Heart Song Designs. I colored the image to match this stunning patterned paper from Colors by Design. To add a little elegance to the card I stitched around the edges then wrapped rose red grosgrain ribbon around the card base and finished it off with some pretty metallic gold ribbon and bow. I also added some sparkly metallic gold dew drops in each corner.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

Vintage Going For A Ride

Hi everyone!  I've never tried a real vintage card before but the name of this lovely image inspired me to give it a try.  My original take on this card included some mini flowers amongst the leaves but they just didn't grow on me so I took them back off and this is what I ended up with.

The image showcased on today's card is the Vintage Going For A Ride digital stamp by Create With TLC. I paired it with some beautiful Flora Bella and Dew Drops patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Fleuriste Collection. To give it a vintage look I added some stitching, white lace, white satin ribbon and pearl dew drops.  I also couldn't resist adding the scallop edge along the lace and around the image.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

CREATIVE DESIGN:

Chick Parade

Hi everyone! Here is another fun card I created for Easter. The patterned paper is so pretty all by itself I didn't want to cover much of it up so I kept the embellishments simple and instead of adding the usual ribbon and bow wrapped some white DMC thread around the card base and made a bow in front.

The oh so cute Chick Parade is a digital stamp from Heart Song Designs.  I paired it with Oak Lane and West Spain Street patterned paper from the Scenic Route Sonoma Collection.  The cardstock is Riding Hood Red.  To embellish the card I wrapped DMC White around the card base and added some red bling in each corner.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!
