You Are My Sunshine

Hi everyone! I'm back with another clean and simple card I'm making for Operation Write Home.  I finished 40 of the I Love You cards and should have enough supplies to make two dozen of this card.  My reward for studying is a few minutes of bliss in my craft room.

The sentiment and flower images used on this card are all from the Treasures acrylic stamp set by Close To My Heart.  I layered Vintage Violet, Almost Amethyst and White Cardstock then added a strip of Black finished on the bottom using the Scallop Edge Punch.  I embellished the card with three clear dew drops.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

  • Stamps: Treasures (Close To My Heart)
  • Paper: Vintage Violet and Almost Amethyst (Stampin' Up), White Cardstock (Papertrey Ink), Black Cardstock (Bazzill)
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Violet and Almost Amethyst

OWH Midweek Throwdown

Hi everyone! I thought while I'm off work I'd also play along with the Midweek Throwdown over at the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Blog. This weeks challenge is to "Get Your Kraft On". We're being challenged to make cards using kraft plus one or two other colors... along with kraft I used white and pink.

The card base is white cardstock layered with a 1 3/4 inch x 5 1/2 inch strip of patterned paper. Using the Corner Rounder Punch I rounded the lower right corner of the card base and kraft cardstock. next I finished one side of the kraft cardstock using the Scallop Edge Punch then added three 1 1/4 inch x 1 1/4 inch squares of coordinating patterned paper. The butterflies were punched out of white cardstock using the Monarch Butterfly Punch. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. To finish off the card I add some dots along the scalloped edge using a black glaze pen.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

A Year In Flowers: Daffodils

Hi everyone!   This is a card that was simply inspired by my desire to use up bits and pieces of scraps laying around my craft room.  In the end I really like how the card came together though and will have to do this more often.

The daffodil image used on today's card is from the A Year In Flowers I acrylic stamp set by Flourishes.  The leaves are die cut from Wild Wasabi cardstock using the Sizzlets Little Leaves Die.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!
