Seeing Your Face

Hi everyone! I'm really excited the weekend is almost here!!! Do you have big plans for the weekend? We are staying home this weekend so I'm hoping to spend some time in my craft room. I've been coloring some images this week that I can't wait to play with. The image used on today's card is an oldie but favorite of mine, the Seeing Your Face rubber stamp by Penny Black.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then DCWV Patterned Paper.  The little strip is Wild Wasabi.  The shadow layer is another DCWV Patterned Paper layered on True Black.  The image was stamped on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers.  To embellish the card I added lots of stitching and wrapped some white lace around the base a couple times then finished it off with a big black button.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

My 21st Anniversary

Hi everyone! My husband and I celebrated our 21st anniversary this weekend by taking in the Second City comedy show and going out to dinner. I thought making a pretty floral card would also put me in a romantic mood for the occasion. The pansy floral image used on this card is from the A Year In Flowers I clear stamp set by Flourishes.

My card base is Regal Rose layered with Kraft then Patterns Pack II Patterned Paper. The strip is Wild Wasabi layered on Kraft. The image was stamped on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I die cut and embossed the image using the Standard Circles Small Nestabilites and layered it on Regal Rose die cut using the Standard Circles Large Nestabilities and then layered that on Kraft die cut using the Floral Doily Motifs Nestabilities. To embellish the card I added lots of stitching, some white lace and a white bow.

2014 Calendar - COVER

Hi everyone! Happy New Year!!! I'm back and ready to get into the swing of things again. I thought I'd kick off the new year with the cover to my 2014 calendar. Did I mention that my mother-in-law LOVED my 2013 calendar!?!  My sister-in-laws really liked it too and hinted at wanting one themselves so I'm making seven of my 2014 calendar to gift this next holiday season.  And before I forget... the wine glasses coloring page used on the cover was found here... WINE GLASSES.

My calendar base is Chocolate Chop layered with White Cardstock and Sweet Home Patterned Paper.  The strip is Barely Banana and Chocolate Chip finished on one side using the Scallop Dot Edge Punch.  I stitched around the edge and trimmed one end of the sentiment using my scissors.  The 2014 numbers were die cut using the Block Party Sizzix Dies.  The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers.  I cut it out and attached it to the calendar base using mounting tape.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!
