i {heart} sketch #127

Hi my crafty friends!  Today I'm playing along with the sketch challenge at i {heart} card sketches with a twist.  Below is this weeks sketch and the twist is to use lots of white and add color with the embellishments.  In addition to using the sketch I also did my best with the twist... I used lots of cream and brown and added a splash of blue with the sequins.

I distressed the edges of the patterned paper and cream circles using chocolate distress ink by CTMH.  The adorable cats are die cut using the Impression Obsession Steel Dies Cat Set.

Lil' Jaxon Thank You

Hi everyone! We've been spoiled with warmer weather lately, until this weekend that is! The temp dropped to the 30's a couple days ago... brrr!

Today I'm sharing this cute thank you card I made for local humane society. The puppy is the Lil' Jaxon rubber stamp by Whipper Snapper. I distressed the edges of the image and patterned papers with chocolate distress ink by CTMH.

Sketch Saturday & Catch The Bug

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted on my blog these past couple of weeks. We've been fostering 11 adorable kittens for the humane society. Two weeks ago the humane society had 27 kittens surrendered. There were multiple litters and many of the kittens were too small to have surgery and go up for adoption.

There are only 10 of the foster in the below photo, one was still too shy and was hiding at the time. Today we took 9 of the 11 kittens back to the humane society. Two of the kittens are still too small and need a couple more weeks to grow bigger!

This morning I was inspired to create this card using this week's sketch challenge #356 from Sketch Saturday.  I'm also playing along with this month's anything goes Catch The Bug Challenge.

I distressed the edges of the patterned paper and image using chocolate distress ink and a sponge.  The image was colored in using copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!
