Ike's Art English Bull Terrier

Hi my crafty friends! Today I've a pet themed card for the Sending Paw Prints challenge to make any blank thank you pet themed handmade card... with paw prints. For this card I used Ike's Art English Bull Terrier digital stamp. The lines in the image made it so easy to color. I colored the image using copic markers E70, E71, E72, etc.

Must Love Pet Collection

Hi everyone!  This week I've been making blank thank you pet themed handmade cards with the Must Love Pet Collection.  This is a free set of digital papers, images, alphabet and elements by Salt Town Studio.  I made a total of 16 cards, 8 of each puppy shown.

I used the Must Love Pet Collection digital paper and puppy image and paired it with some black and cream cardstock.  To add a splash of color I used red cardstock to matte the image.  To finish off the card I added some silver sequins.

There is still time play along in Sending Paw Prints first challenge.  The current challenge is PAW PRINTS in honor of the blog name, Sending Paw Prints!  To play along… make any blank thank you pet themed handmade card… with PAW PRINTS!

The digital paw print patterned paper is a freebie from The Cottage Market.  The adorable silhouette cats are a free digital image found HERE.  The silhouette cats remind me of my cats... Georgia and Sandy.  They are sisters and sit just like these two in the image.

I'm also a huge fan of Pandora and have a charm called Purrfect Together that this image reminds me of.

This set of cards will be donated to a local animal shelter or rescue group once I get more cards done.

If you haven't already I hope you will visit Sending Paw Prints and play along in the first challenge.

Happy Birthday Owl

Hi my crafty friends!  This is a quick and easy birthday card I made for my niece whoo loves owls!  I was short on time so I used a pre-colored digital image.  It's hard to tell in the photo but I used my happy birthday embossing folder on the yellow cardstock.

Tall Oaks by Verve Stamps

Hi my crafty friends! We celebrated thanksgiving with the family this past weekend and are still eating leftovers. It's been ages since I made the family holiday cards and really enjoyed doing so again this year.

The pumpkins are from the Tall Oats stamp set by Verve Stamps. I colored the pumpkins using copic markers YOO, YR21, YR23, YR27 and the ground G82, G85. The patterned papers are scraps from various fall collections I've used over the years. To embellish the card I added some burlap, green grosgrain ribbon and sequins.

Watercolor Flower

Hi my crafty friends! Today I've a gorgeous floral card to share. I have this stash of textured papers I got eons ago at a craft show and dug them out to use on this card.  The image is embossed using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder then colored in using watercolors.

Over the raspberry card base I layered vellum and purple textured paper. It's hard to tell in the photo but the purple textured paper has raspberry bits in it. To embellish the card I added some white lace and raspberry buttons finished with white thread.

Crazy Cat Texture Paste

Hello again! I've been busy lately opening all the packages from the SCS falliday fest card drive. I love all the cards and am sure the shelter will too! A huge thank you to everyone who sent cards for the card drive, you're the very best!!!

On today's card I finally got a chance to play with some texture paste. For my first time using the paste I didn't add any color, I just used it as it is. Over the texture paste I layered some scrap patterned paper.  The image was inked using jet black archival ink and colored in using distress inks. On the cat I used spun sugar and picked raspberry.  I used salty ocean for the eyes and background.

CAS(E) this Sketch #197

Hi my crafty friends!  I want to thank the design team at CTS for the honorable mention for the card I entered in last week's sketch challenge.  A HUGE thank you to the team for making pet themed cards and dedicating the challenge as CAS(E) for a cause.

Today I'm back playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #197.  I think this sparkly paw print patterned paper is too awesome to cover up so is perfect for this week's sketch challenge.  The sentiment was stamped in memento tuxedo black and is from the cat-itude stamp set by MFT.

I die cut a small dog in coordinating cardstock and adhered it in the corner.

That's it for today.  Hope you have a great week!

Crazy Cat Wrinkled

Hi everyone! I'm loving playing with my new distress inks. On this card I inked up one of the images from the Crazy Cats stamp set using jet black ranger archival ink. I find that the ranger ink doesn't bleed when watercoloring.

To color the image I used spun sugar and picked raspberry on the cat, salty ocean for the cat's eye, vintage photo on the ground and very diluted salty ocean for the sky.

I had a scrap piece of white paper already crinkled so I tore one of the corners off and used that for the background.  I received a box of various patterned papers from the local animal shelter to use to make them some cards.  The pink strip I layered over the white cardstock is from that box of patterned papers.  I toe one of the edges and folded back the pieces to add some texture to it.  To embellish the card I added some sequins down the side.

Patriotic Thank You

I made this patriotic thank you card for the SCS falliday fest Operation Quiet Comfort card drive.  I wish I'd had more time to play along in more of the challenges.  Note to self... take a week off work next year for falliday fest.

This card drive is special because it reminds me of my nephew who joined the marines last week.  I'm going to make another patriotic thank you card to give him when he graduates from basics.

The American flag is a wood mounted rubber stamp by The Stamping Bug.  I used Barn Door and Salty Ocean distress ink for the flag and Walnut Stain for the thank sentiment.  To align the thank you sentiment I used the MISTI.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a purr-fect day!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!! Today I'm sharing my favorite Halloween card featuring the Charcoal in Moonspooks digital stamp from Pollycraft.

The patterned paper are from an old basic grey collection. Sadly I'm down to just scraps now. The tag was a discount find at target. I punched a spider border out of glossy black cardstock and added some glossy dew drops in each corner.

Here are the copic markers I used to color the image.

Cat: T1, T3, T5, T6, T8
Hat: V91, V93, V95, V99
Fence: E70, E71, E74, E77, E79
Grass: G94, G99
Moon: Y00, YR30

Hoping the weather is nice where ever you are and that the little ones have fun trick or treating!

All Hallow's Eve

Hi my crafty friends! I'm back with another Halloween card today. My husband's family is really into celebrating Halloween. They go all out and decorate their yards and inside of the house. I don't decorate my house or yard but do enjoy making Halloween cards for the family.

The image used on today's card is the Scaredy Cat digital stamp by Can You Digi It. I used some patterned papers from my stash and embellished with a fun tag, some gems and black twine.

A few weeks ago one of my friends daughter's broke her arm practicing irish dancing and had to have surgery.  We spent the morning watching their other daughter and went to target that morning to pick up a get well gift for the daughter having surgery.  While there we browsed the discount section and found a set of tags... one of which I used on this card. On the tag is this All Hallow's Eve poem.  I used the poem on the inside of my Halloween cards this year.

ALL HALLOW'S EVE

Halloween is upon us… time for ghosts & ghouls and all things ghastly. Witches on their brooms and creepy kitties riding along. Jack-o-lanterns with scary faces and trick or treating at scary places. Haunted houses with bats above and silhouettes of trees who’ve lost their leaves. Mummies and zombies strolling about, scary enough to make you shout! Souls rising from their graves, it’s their night to come out and play. So if you venture out at night, please beware of all the fright. If you see a ghost, try to be brave. If you see a witch, don’t run away. It’s time to be merry and celebrate, it’s All Hallow’s Eve, the most festive night.
